Aldi launches online gift vouchers for the first time so you can shop for friends and family
ALDI has launched online gift vouchers for the first time so you can buy groceries for friends and family during lockdown.
Perfect for those who are vulnerable and self-isolating due to coronavirus, the vouchers are ordered online and can then be sent to any UK address.

The vouchers are available in values of £5 and £10, and you don’t have to pay extra for the postage.
They’re available to buy on a new Aldi website called vouchers.aldi.co.uk.
Once you receive the vouchers, usually after three to seven days, all you have to do is spend them like money in your local Aldi store.
There are two types of gift voucher – “orange” and “blue” – and they can be used for everyday essentials, with a few restrictions.
The “orange” vouchers can’t be used to buy alcohol, while neither of them can be used on lottery tickets.

BRITAIN’s four million NHS staff are on the frontline in the battle against coronavirus.
But while they are helping save lives, who is there to help them?
The Sun has launched an appeal to raise £1MILLION for NHS workers. The Who Cares Wins Appeal aims to get vital support to staff in their hour of need.
We have teamed up with NHS Charities Together in their urgent Covid-19 Appeal to ensure the money gets to exactly who needs it.
The Sun is donating £50,000 and we would like YOU to help us raise a million pounds, to help THEM. No matter how little you can spare, please donate today here: www.thesun.co.uk/whocareswinsappeal.
The vouchers are valid from 12 months from the date of purchase and can be spent in-store only.
Aldi, which is offering the vouchers to customers for the first time, launched the scheme this week.
The launch comes after supermarkets including Asda, M&S, Sainsbury’s and Waitrose launched their own volunteer shopping cards.
Fritz Walleczek, managing director for corporate responsibility at Aldi, said: “This is an incredibly difficult time for certain people in our communities and, as has always been our mission, we want to ensure everyone has safe, easy and affordable access to quality food.
“We all owe huge thanks to the volunteers, friends and family members that are making sure vulnerable people across the UK can get groceries while they self-isolate.
“I’m hopeful that our voucher scheme will make it a little bit easier for them to continue this vital work.”
