The four-part series will be shown on BBC Two from TONIGHT at 9pm.
The show will be available to watch on BBC iPlayer once it has aired on TV.
Bobby and Eric travel the country uncovering secrets of British ingenuity, exploring the biggest innovations of the Industrial Revolution and the Victorian era.
The duo begin at Blackpool Pleasure Beach to experience Sir Hiram Maxim’s 1904 Captive Flying Machines – the oldest amusement ride in Europe.
Who are Eric Monkman and Bobby Seagull?
Eric Monkman and Bobby Seagull were contestants on University Challenge in 2017.
They were both students at Cambridge University but from different colleges.
Monkman, originally from Oakville, Canada, captained the Wolfson College team while Seagull, a maths whiz, represented Emmanuel College.
The nation were taken with Monkman’s seemingly endless knowledge, his blue jumper, and his slightly off-key demeanour.
In fact, the obsession with him was dubbed “Monkmania”.
Meanwhile, Seagull, from Newham, east London, is now a maths teacher and PHD student.
He currently teaches in Cambridge – where he is educating the next generation in maths.
He released a book, The Life Changing Magic of Numbers in October 2018.
Despite the pair being rivals they are now firm friends and have hosted educational TV and radio shows together.
What’s the show about?
Both brainboxes are back on the BBC for their new TV series, Monkman & Seagull’s Genius Adventures.
Airing on BBC Two every Monday at 9pm it features the duo travelling around Britain exploring their favourite scientific breakthroughs.
The show follows the success of Monkman and Seagull’s Genius Guide to Britain, a road trip in which they celebrated innovation in science and technology by exploring hidden gems across the UK.
