Fans of Corrie were left heartbroken by the soap’s huge coercive control storyline that saw evil Geoff torment his wife, isolate her from her loved ones and chip away at her self-esteem for over a year.
In one particularly harrowing scene, Geoff cooked Yasmeen’s beloved pet chicken Charlotte and fed it to her before revealing the animal’s identity.
The abuse came to an explosive head at the beginning of this month with a special episode focusing entirely on Yasmeen and Geoff’s relationship.
After forcing Yasmeen to wear one of his escort’s dresses to the Bistro reopening, Geoff then revealed who he’d bought the dress for when they returned home – and in the process admitted that he’d cheated on her.
Yasmeen was finally pushed to the edge by Geoff’s revelation and a fight quickly broke out between the pair.
The scrap escalated and Geoff pulled out a huge knife, forcing Yasmeen to defend herself with the nearest object – a wine bottle – which broke and slashed his neck.
She watched on in terror as he collapsed bleeding to the floor, before calling the operator and admitting she’d killed her husband.
Corrie fans were left fuming when Yasmeen was then arrested for the attempted murder of her husband and refused bail.
Next week’s episodes of Coronation Street will see Alya visit Yasmeen in prison and beg her to open up about Geoff’s abusive behaviour that led to her arrest.
But Yasmeen refuses to discuss it and clams up at the mention of his abuse.
Meanwhile, Tim collects Geoff from hospital and drives him home.
But it all kicks off when Geoff discovers his key to the house doesn’t work anymore.
Alya pops up and sneers as she tells him that she’s changed the locks.

Later, Geoff pours over the video-feed on his phone from the cameras in the house, which the police failed to find.
Will Yasmeen ever speak out about Geoff’s abuse?
Fans are hoping that Eileen and Sally will come together and speak out about the damning evidence they witnessed as Yasmeen’s friends.
While Eileen knows Geoff trapped Yasmeen in his magician’s box while going out to the pub, Sally witnessed a string of suspicious events including Geoff burning items in his back garden.
