EastEnders spoilers: Sharon Watts returns to reunite with Phil but has second thoughts about giving up baby Kayden

SHARON Watts returns to run the Queen Vic with Phil Mitchell next week in EastEnders but finds herself regretting giving up baby Kayden. 

Sharon – who’s currently taking some time away from Walford – handed her baby over to Karen in the wake of the boat disaster as she struggled to cope with her grief for Dennis.

EastEnders fans will remember that Ian managed to blackmail Karen into taking Sharon’s baby Kayden far away from Walford.

He pretended he was doing it all for Sharon, but viewers will be well aware that it was really an attempt to assuage his guilt after killing Sharon’s other son Dennis during the boat crash. 

When Karen finally agreed to take the cash after a lot of deliberating, grieving Sharon made the heartbreaking decision to hand over Kayden. 

Since then, Sharon and Phil finally put her affair with Keanu behind them but Sharon admitted she wasn’t ready to run the pub with Phil and fled Walford for some time out.

Next week’s episodes of Emmerdale will see Phil shocked out of his skin when Sharon turns up unannounced. 

As the pair chat, Ben pulls Phil away to discuss their upcoming job.

Sharon feels overwhelmed with reminders of Denny back in the Square and goes to confide in Linda. 

She tells Linda that she wants to give things another go with Phil. 

Sharon’s pleased when Linda gives her blessing to her and Phil buying the Vic and they celebrate with a drink. 

But it’s all too much for Sharon when Karen and Billy turn up. 

Later, Linda helps Sharon unpack upstairs but the grieving mum is lost for words when she stumbles across some of Dennis’ belongings. 

Sharon is left questioning her decision to give up her baby Kayden. 

Later in the week, Sharon’s doubts over her life-changing decision continue. 

When she drops off some baby items at the Taylor’s, Karen ends up asking her to watch Kayden while she gets ready for her leaving party. 

Karen later finds Sharon asleep with Kayden and reminds her it’s not too late to change her mind. 

But Sharon freaks out and rushes off without giving Karen an answer. 

Later, Sharon thanks Ian for all his support over the past few tricky months. 

Then, back at the Mitchell’s, Sharon and Phil discuss their future but Sharon remains torn over baby Kayden. 

Will she decide she wants him back?

If so, what would that mean for her relationship with Phil?

Fans know that Kayden is the result of Sharon’s affair with Keanu – and not Phil’s child. 

But despite seeing the paternity test in writing, fans are convinced that a plot twist will confirm that Kayden is Phil’s boy – and not Keanu’s – after all.
