When will McDonald’s breakfast return?
Although overjoyed at the return of McDonald’s, Brits have not been able to get anything from its normal breakfast menu.
But the wait is almost over as the fast-food company’s UK and Ireland chief executive Paul Pomroy revealed it plans to trial its breakfast menu in the coming weeks.
He said: “We are working hard behind the scenes to open for longer and offer more services.
“I hope that within a few weeks we will be able to start trialling breakfast service.”
Yet, Pomroy warned that extending opening hours to include breakfast would only be done if it’s safe to do so.
He added: “Please continue to bear with us.
“Employee safety remains my top priority and we will only move forward with new services and menu items when we’re confident we can do so whilst still enabling a safe working environment.”
What will be on the menu?
McDonald’s is yet to reveal precisely what will be on the breakfast menu when it returns.
Currently, all restaurants are working off a limited menu with items such as McWraps, Legends and milkshakes unavailable.

What stores will serve breakfast?
It is expected that McDonald’s will only roll out the breakfast menu to a limited number of restaurants to begin with.
However, it says it is too early to reveal the exact locations for the trial, or a specific date.
McDonald’s currently has nearly 1,000 stores back open as it continues to ease lockdown restrictions.
