Holby City spoilers: Louis devastated to find ‘dead daughter’ messages on Max’s phone after brutal row with Guy

LOUIS McGerry is devastated to discover that his mum Max McGerry has told her colleagues that her daughter Lily has died – when she’s actually transitioned to a man.

The hospital’s CEO is struggling to cope with her son Louis’s transition and refusing to accept his identity.

Holby City fans know that the soap introduced a new transgender character back in March as Max met her estranged son for the first time in years. 

But when Max was confronted with the reality that Lily had transitioned and was now living as Louis, the mother was so shocked she ran away. 

Her dash to the hills left her son devastated but he put on a brave face and texted her later, asking to meet again. 

During the next couple of meetups, Max continued to put her foot in it by telling him she’d never be able to accept his identity.

And fans were sickened when Max faked Lily’s death in a sick twist to avoid telling her colleagues about her transgender son.

Next week’s episodes of Holby City will see Max’s lie come back to bite her as Louis tries to adjust to working with his mum’s team.

The upcoming scenes will see Louis touched when Max reaches out to him during his shift to ask how he’s getting on.

But Max’s relationship with Louis seems to unsettle her partner Guy, who locks horns with a patient over Louis later on.

Realising that Louis could turn his mum against him, Guy tries to make things work with Max’s son. 

But will Louis be fooled by Guy’s pleasant facade?

Later, a horrified Louis questions why Max still has him saved as Lily in her phone. 

Louis is further unsettled when Donna asks him about his ‘sister’ Lily, who she believes has died. 

Louis later discovers that Max has been gossiping about him in hospital – and that she’s basically pretended that he’s dead. 

Will Louis sever his relationship with Max once and for all after discovering her sick lie?
