Pierce Brosnan relentlessly mocked for Icelandic accent in Netflix’s Eurovision Song Contest: The Story of Fire Saga
IF you thought Pierce Brosnan’s singing in Mamma Mia! was bad, you are going to have a hoot watching his new film.
He appears in Netflix’s Eurovision Song Contest: The Story Of Fire Saga opposite Will Ferrell and Rachel McAdams and the star has been relentlessly mocked since its release on Friday for his dodgy Icelandic accent.

And viewers have been left in hysterics by Pierce’s vocal delivery, which they said sounded more like Welsh, Irish and even Italian than that of someone from Iceland.
Liam Fallon wrote on Twitter: “Pierce Brosnan’s Icelandic accent is somehow worse than his Mamma Mia! singing.”
And referencing a town in Wales, Ciron Gruffydd tweeted: “I think Pierce Brosnan had learned an Icelandic accent for this one and went shopping in Iceland Pwllheli as his only research.”

Pierce joked: “I did bring in my platinum album, my gold album and said, ‘Look, I got this from Mamma Mia! Why don’t I have a song here, guys?’
“I think Will got a little bit . . . I think he just got a little bit sensitive about that, and you know, ego.”
That was probably for the best.

She continued that mantra at Sunday’s virtual BET Awards, in which she gave a speech urging black communities to vote in November’s US presidential election.
Accepting an award for humanitarian work, she said: “I’m encouraging you to continue to take action, continue to change and dismantle a racist and unequal system.
“We have to vote like our life depends on it, because it does.”

Kim’s in a tight state
KIM Kardashian and Kanye West seem to be angling for a role in The Matrix 4 with these outfits, although she could easily never work again after her latest pay cheque.

And Kanye, who was in the studio with Snoop Dogg and Dr Dre at the weekend, had good news for fans today when he announced his tenth album God’s Country.
Meanwhile, it was business as usual for the couple as they squeezed into ridiculous leather gear which made them the butt of jokes on social media.
One fan said: “Looks like she took apart the couch and made an outfit.”
Given that Kanye is launching a clothing range with Gap next year, I hope his High Street options are a bit more down-to-earth.
