HANGING egg chairs have once again been the must-have item of the summer – but here’s how you can still get your hands on one.
The classic 1960s style, which is a hit with celebrities, has been selling out everywhere as shoppers flock to buy them.

Most of the rattan styles feature a steel frame to help hold the seat while the chair itself is often made with a woven material.
But many of the popular places to buy these chairs on the cheap, including Aldi, Argos, and B&M have sold out and it’s unlikely they’ll be back in stock before the end of the season.
Home Bargains, meanwhile, told us it has extremely limited availability of its £99 version left in some stores with no more deliveries expected.
If you’re still keen to get your hands on one from the stores listed above, sign up to their newsletters or product alerts to find out when they are back in stock.
Alternatively, you could try one of the below retailers, which still have the chairs in stock when we checked – although they are on the more expensive end of the scale.
Amazon – £249.99

There are a host of third party sellers selling hanging egg chairs on Amazon, although many of them don’t have any reviews, so do your research on the buyer carefully before handing over any money.
We found Cumbria-based seller, Cherry Tree Furniture, selling rattan hanging egg chairs on Amazon starting from £249.99 for one in an “azura black” colour.
There is also a white version of the chair (picture above), although this is currently out of stock.
The black chair has a four-star rating from three reviews. Delivery costs £19.99 and if you order today, you’ll get it delivered between September 15 and 19.
Briq Furniture – £179

Briq Furniture’s egg-shaped seat includes grey or white cushions, as well as the stand, and is one of the cheapest currently available at £179.
It’s been reduced in price from £249.
Delivery costs vary depending on where you live but bear in mind shipping can take two to six weeks as the firm sometimes uses overseas factories.
Also bear in mind the retailer has mixed reviews on TrustPilot, so do your research before purchasing.
La Maison Chic – £279.99

Also at the slightly pricier end of the scale is this sleek White Rattan Swing Weave Patio Garden Hanging Egg Chair by La Maison Chic.
Available on its website for £279.99, this chair can hold up to 50kg and is ideal for indoor and outdoor use.
The chair is currently in stock and available for free delivery to the UK mainland within five to seven days.
We don’t know a lot about La Maison Chic but it has positive reviews on TrustPilot.
Robert Dyas – £229.99

Robert Dyas’ hanging egg chairs are back in stock with its cheapest version being this LeisureGrow Outdoor Monaco Hazel Egg Chair for £229.99.
This sand-coloured egg chair comes complete with LeisureGrow’s Eden weather resistant cushions.
Delivery is free and takes up to 14 days but you won’t be able to click and collect to your nearest store.
If you’ve got slightly more cash to splash, Robert Dyas is also selling this grey Charles Bentley swinging egg chair for £279.99, plus free home delivery within seven working days.
Wilko has the same Charles Bentley design for a pricier £290, plus £5 delivery on or by September 17.
The Rattan Company – £285

This York-based company’s sole mission is to “revive indoor rattan furniture in the UK with a contemporary take” – and it has positive reviews on TrustPilot.
Its indoor Berlin Hanging Egg Chair is handmade from natural rattan cane and costs £285. Delivery costs vary depending on where you live.
The only downside to this product is that it does not come with hanging hardware, so you would need to to attach it to a ceiling or beam yourself.
Wayfair – from £259.99

This black metal chair comes complete with white cushions, and you can get it delivered to your home for free by September 17.
