But he became a familiar face on WWE TV back in the Attitude Era as he and fellow icon Pat Patterson became the billionaire owner’s hilarity henchman during his wars with Stone Cold Steve Austin.
Brisco began his backstage role with WWE in 1985 but was furloughed earlier in the year as a cost-cutting measure amid the coronavirus outbreak.
Now he has broken the news on social media that his time with the company is over.
Brisco tweeted earlier today: “Ok, want to get this out the right way. Last night I received a call from @wwe Chairman Of The board @VinceMcMahon to let me know after 36 years of dedication to @wwe i an no longer needed.
“I’m ok withthis. I will still be around to help talent. More info will follow. Thanks (sic).”
And he also stated that even though it was an emotional time, he would not be conducting any interviews over his release right now.
Brisco added: “I appreciate all the well wishes I would also like to add that I need a little space so everyone asking for an interview at this time I need to step back take a deep breath just remember I have no anger just emotions at this time (sic).”

And he even managed to add another notch to his belt back in July 2019 on the Raw Reunion show.
Brisco pinned long-time friend Patterson to claim the 24/7 Championship before he later lost the belt to Kelly Kelly that same night.
