A SHOCKING video that appears to show a child driving a lorry on a busy motorway is being urgently investigated by police.
Cops are probing the eight second viral clip that appears to show a little boy driving a HGV down the M1 in Northern Ireland.
Video shows the little boy steering in the truck’s cab while an unseen adult in the passenger seat behind the camera encourages him.
Other vehicles can be seen on the motorway as the boy in a blue and white stripey shirt appears to accelerate.
A male voice behind the camera says “you alright there, lad?”.
The boy enthusiastically replies “yeah” as he turns to the man, taking his eyes off the road.
The adult then urges the boy to “lift off, lift off” – before saying “f*** sake”.
Cars can be seen hurtling up the inside of lorry on the motorway which has a speed limit of up to 70mph.
Fury is mounting over the clip as the man encouraging the boy has been condemned, with many warning someone could have been killed.
It is understood the lorry was travelling eastbound in the Dungannon area.
The Police Service of Northern Ireland have issued an appeal for information on the clip as it circulated on social media.
Detectives said the video shows a boy “clearly under the age of gaining a valid driving licence driving a lorry while in the presence of an adult”.
Cops have asked anyone who recognises the boy or the voice on the video to urgently contact them.
DUP Councillor Clement Cuthbertson blasted the video as “recklesss” and “careless”, reports the Belfast Telegraph.
He said: “The video circulating on social media is shocking.
“It’s reckless to see it not only on a local road, but on a motorway. It is totally wrong.”
‘FIND THIS IDIOT’
Mr Cuthbertson added: “Hopefully someone can identify those involved and report it to the PSNI.
“You have to be 17 to get your provisional licence, and that child is definitely not 17.
“We’ve had a lot of accidents on that road recently and many that have led to deaths.
“People want to see the roads safe but the behaviour in the video is reckless and careless.”
Angry social media users have blasted the adult in the video as they called on PSNI to “find this idiot”.
One said: “If that traffic were to suddenly stop in front of him, there’d be little chance of him being able to react in time.
“Monumentally stupid.”
Another added: “The adult in charge of this rig needs his license taken off him, fined and even a custodial sentence.

“The number of lives put at risk is shocking.”
Others blasted “shocking the thought what could have went wrong” and “for f*** sake what is wrong with people. Hope the PSNI find the idiot”.
Another wrote: “Utter moron! Fingers crossed he is located and removed from the roads for good.”
A PSNI spokesman said: “We have received a report and are aware of footage which has been shared on social media and are making inquiries.”
