Kate Garraway supported by I’m A Celeb pal Caitlyn Jenner who says husband’s coronavirus battle is a ‘tragedy’
KATE Garraway is being supported by her I’m A Celebrity co-star Caitlyn Jenner.
The former Keeping Up With The Kardashians star says described Kate’s husband Derek Draper’s coronavirus battle as a “tragedy”.
She told Daily Star Online: “Kate, when she came home, her husband and coronavirus – it’s been a tragedy.
“I talked to her the other day and as soon as we got on the phone, that voice of hers, I was like ‘oh my God, that voice of hers, it has a familiarity’.”
The pair got close as campmates in the jungle last year, which ended in Jacqueline Jossa taking the crown.
They’ve stayed in touch ever since, but Caitlyn has been on the phone to support Kate recently while Derek remains in hospital.
He was first hospitalised with coronavirus in March 2020 and is still unable to speak, with doctors warning he may stay in his current condition.
Today Kate was on Good Morning Britain where she told viewers she was having a “tough time”.
She said: “It’s actually Derek and I’s wedding anniversary today, unbelievably – 15 years today.

“What an extraordinary thing. I won’t be able to see him today, I kind of hoped I would but it wouldn’t work out that way for a visit… But maybe it would be a bit strange anyway.
“So yeah, it’s a tough day but he’s still here. There’s not a huge amount of change.”
