A MAN has today been charged with carrying out 34 circumcisions on kids across England.
Mohammad Siddiqui, 54, was charged with assault occasioning bodily harm and assault of a child.
A man has been charged over 34 alleged illegal circumcisions [/caption]Hampshire Police have claimed the man, from Hockley, Birmingham, carried out the procedures at private homes across Hampshire, the West Midlands, West Mercia, Thames Valley, London, Dorset and Wiltshire between 2015 and 2018.
He has also been charged with administering a prescription only medicine, when not an appropriate practitioner.
A police spokesperson said: “This investigation related to an individual’s possible criminal actions whilst undertaking circumcision procedures and is not concerned with the practice of circumcision itself.”
Siddiqui has since been bailed to appear at Westminster Magistrates on November 6.
