A MAN who allegedly chopped up his parents, boiled his mom’s head in a saucepan and attempted to dissolve their bodies in acid has asked to be executed.
The odd request was made by 32-year-old Joel Guy Jr in a Knoxville, Tennessee, court on Tuesday, according to WATE.

Guy Jr allegedly murdered his parents – Joel Guy Sr, 61, and Lisa Guy, 55 – in their home in 2016.
The Knox County Criminal Court has now obtained two handwritten motions from Guy Jr asking the judge to sentence him to death, the news outlet reported.
According to the documents, the judge will be allowed to authorize the death penalty if Guy Jr is convicted of first-degree murder.
Guy Jr reportedly wrote: “In the event that I am eventually found guilty of first-degree murder, I contend that the waiver above, if permitted by the court, would free the court to sentence me to death, imprisonment for life without the possibility of parole or imprisonment for life, in spite of the district attorney general’s failure to satisfy the notice requirements of Rule 12.3(b).”
Despite his execution request, Guy Jr has not confessed to murdering his parents – who were killed around Thanksgiving time four years ago.
“Nothing in this filing is intended to be an admission of guilt, nor should its contents be construed as proof of consciousness of guilt,” he claimed.

The Knox County Sheriff’s Office suspects that Guy Jr’s parents were killed sometime between November 25 and 26 in 2016.
His parents’ bodies were found cut up – with some parts in tuppaware.
The suspected killer had attempted to rid of the evidence by liquefying the bodies with chemicals, investigators revealed.
One of the heads were discovered on the kitchen stove in a saucepan.
Knox County Sheriff’s Office Detective Jeremy McCord recalled his findings as “the most horrific thing I’ve ever encountered in police work – in my life,” Knox news reported in 2018.
He said there was “blood everywhere… on the walls and floor.”
According to prosecutors, Guy Jr – who had been living in Baton Rouge, Louisiana – was told by his parents that he would no longer be receiving financial support.
