RICHMOND rapper TaY WaY has reportedly been shot and killed, according to KMEL.
Rumors began circulating the internet after Richmond police confirmed one person was dead following a drive-by shooting where 17 gunshot rounds were fired next to Nevin Park in the city’s Iron Triangle neighborhood.
The rapper had just released his third album[/caption]Fans shared the news on social media, with one writing: “I hate to hear it bruh smh. Rest In Peace Tay Way.”
“RIP TayWay smh Richmond bouta be on one,” added another.
Earlier in the day, TaY WaY had posted a video from the block with a friend, and had added the lyrics: “It been so long ,we still out here bro, you feel me? same hood, same turf.”
The rapper released his third album, Rich City Host, on July 24.
Tay Way was from Richmond, California[/caption] TaY WaY posted this video of the same block just moments before the shooting[/caption]Richmond police confirmed to The Sun that “the investigation is still on going and the current condition of the victims are, one deceased, and two treated for injuries in stable condition.”
They are asking anyone with information, or bystanders, to please come forward.
A man was pronounced dead at the scene and another man and woman were transported to the hospital in critical condition, Captain Walle told local outlets

In a 2016 video, TaY WaY told Bay Area YouTube channel Thizzler On The Roof that “Richmond made me who I am.”
“Richmond, it was tough,” he shared, “real tough, you had to stand up for yourself, man.”
He added: “But it was lovely at the same time, I went to school, parties were cracking, but then people died and serious people started dying.
“Big losses, big memories, big joy, Richmond though is like every other city though.
“I love it though.”
