ULRIKA Jonsson will reveal another side to her – as she gets down and dirty on SAS: Who Dares Wins.
Shooting stars legend Ulrika has signed up to compete in the Channel 4 contest’s upcoming new series which will see her pushed to her limits both mentally and physically by hard-as-nails taskmaster Ant Middleton.
Ulrika Jonsson has signed up for Channel 4’s Celebrity SAS Who Dares Wins[/caption]She will join competitors including 2014’s I’m A Celeb runner-up Jake Quickenden and Olympic double gold medallist rower James Cracknell, who have also agreed to tackle the challenge.
An insider said: “Ulrika is a huge signing for SAS and she’s ready to show the world just how tough she is.
“Her four kids encouraged her to give the show a whirl. In their eyes it’s really cool. It is the toughest show on TV but everyone who signs up ends up taking so much away with them.
“It’s really fulfilling so when Ulrika was asked she jumped at the chance.
“She is physically fit but has suffered back pain in the past because of a degenerative disc condition.
“The show might not be easy for her but she’s going to roll up her sleeves and really give it her all.”
A tight-lipped show spokesman would only comment: “In the best traditions of the SAS, this mission is confidential.
“However, full details will be released when the series broadcasts next year.”
Ulrika will be pushed to her limits by hard-as-nails presenter Ant Middleton[/caption]The military-style test of resilience, won this year by Paralympian triathlete Lauren Steadman and Rudimental DJ Locksmith, is being filmed later this month and Ulrika will head into isolation with her co-stars beforehand to ensure that it is Covid-safe.
She has previously admitted that her back pain was so crippling, it felt as if acid was being poured down her spine.
So it will be inspiring to watch her take on this battle. May the best man — or woman — win.

But Jodie, who was raised in the former mining community of Skelmanthorpe, West Yorks, and now lives in London, was thrilled to discover her story.
She says: “I knew I was from a mining family but didn’t really know why, and as a Yorkshire woman that’s a really important thing to know.
“Where we originated from was fascinating, but then in full circle I’ve ended up within a few miles of where my grandma was brought up, and I didn’t know.

I’ll be Paul, ‘I really like your baps’.” As Matt shakes uncontrollably and Noel shouts, “It’s too powerful,” Paul walks into shot.
Turning to the pair, he says: “Everything all right, guys?
“You’ve not been playing with my handshake, have you? Because if you have . . . ”
As he finishes his sentence, Paul reveals a tiny hand and slaps both Paul and Noel, before wiping his brow and walking off. Comedy genius.
