Candace Owens has slammed the media for portraying President Trump as an ‘enemy’[/caption] Owen’s is one of President Trump’s ‘most prominent cheerleaders,’ according to the Times[/caption]In an op-ed published in the Mail Online, the 31-year-old wrote: “Those who privately supported him were reduced to uneducated, red-neck hicks – the toothless type who drink beer on their porch and marry their first cousins.
“For those who dared to venture their support for Trump in public, far worse characterizations were reserved.
“They were racist bigots, xenophobes unfit to see the light of day in a civilized society.
“So where do such insulting illustrations leave Americans like me?”
Owens is a right-wing commentator who founded Blexit, a campaign to persuade African-Americans and other minorities to abandon the Democrats and become registered Republicans.
She has become one of Trump‘s “most prominent cheerleaders and pals of the first family,” according to the Times.

“If you buy into media stereotypes, that makes Donald Trump my enemy, because there is no place in ‘Trump’s America’ for minorities and the impoverished. But such a view could hardly be more wrong,” she said.
“There is no President (and I dare say no leader in the history of the world) who has faced more accusations of inherent hatred and racism than Donald J Trump.”
Owens also asserted how Trump supporters like herself are “explained away with petty name-calling” by the media.
She said: “Minorities who support the President are traitors, minstrels and fools.
“The comfortable elites who control the national media would much rather believe in unicorns than risk stumbling upon the reality of Trump and the millions of forgotten people who voted for him.”

“They were planning an overnight scam in Georgia. Their confidence made no sense at the time, and it makes perfect sense now,” Owens said in a tweet as she responded to how votes were playing out in Georgia.
Owens has also said black Americans are turning to Donald Trump for “more opportunities” – and claimed Democrats want to “keep them poor.”
Speaking during an Fox News interview one day before the election, she said: “You want to put Biden back in office, he is the person along with Barack Obama who gave black America more handouts.”
“Donald J Trump is giving us more hand-ups. We don’t want more food stamps, we want more opportunities,” she added.

“Donald Trump does not see black Americans as victims and that is what black Americans are starting to understand – especially young black men,” she said.

Back in September, Owens revealed she thought Trump would win the election in a “landslide.”
She explained: “You need but look at the lines and packed arenas at Trump rallies to determine that he is winning by a landslide.”
Owens added that the Democrats’ “play was always to use to COVID-19 to explain Biden’s lack of support – followed by fake polls and forged mail-in ballots to attempt an election steal.”
