Now, her fans are opening up about how Jesy’s honesty about her struggles helped them, saying “you saved so many people when nobody else was there for them including me”.
Many took to social media to praise the “genuine, kind soul”.
Her break is due to ‘private medical reasons’[/caption]One Twitter user shared screenshots of some sweet DMs Jesy had sent her earlier this year telling her to “never feel less”.
The fan wrote that Jesy “has the kindest heart always making me feel loved”.
Another fan added: “Jesy taught me to love myself & my body & she’s a strong and inspirational woman proud to call her my idol.”
A third said: “I love u jesy. Thank u for helping me gain body confidence with ur positive message.”
And a fourth wrote: “She has been such an inspiration to me throughout the last 9 years, she has taught me to accept myself how I am, and has taught me to love myself.”
Jesy’s hiatus from Little Mix was confirmed yesterday via the band’s management.
Announcing the extension of her break, a spokesman off from Little Mix for private medical reasons.
“We will not be issuing any further comment currently and ask media to please respect her privacy at this time.”
Jesy missed the final episode of Little Mix’s BBC One show The Search[/caption]It came after the star missed several appearances, including the final of their BBC One show The Search and hosting the MTV European Music Awards nearly two weeks ago.
At the time, their rep said: “Jesy is unwell and will not be appearing on tonight’s final of Little Mix: The Search.
“She will also not be hosting or performing at tomorrow’s MTV EMAs.”
Jesy has been a member of the group since they formed on The X Factor in 2011, alongside bandmates Jade, Perrie Edwards, and Leigh-Anne Pinnock.
She also missed their performance and hosting of the MTV EMAs last week[/caption]Together they have sold more than 50million records, landing two Brit Awards, four number one singles and releasing six albums along the way.
They are also scheduled to hit the road on tour again in April next year, though it’s thought the dates may be delayed if necessary as a result of ongoing Covid-19 restrictions.

Little Mix were the first group to win The X Factor at the height of its success back in 2011, a year after boyband One Direction finished third, and quickly joined the ranks of pop superstars with a string of chart hits – including Wings, Black Magic and Shout Out To My Ex.
Four of their albums have enjoyed platinum sales, and a string of spin-off projects including clothing ranges, perfume, beauty products and an autobiography have cemented their status as A-listers.
