MELANIE Sykes watched The Crown alone in bed before drinking with a pal in Venice following her reunion with her toyboy lover.
Earlier this week, the 50-year-old star flew to the Italian city to see her 23-year-old beau Riccardo Simionato following the sad death of her friend Des O’Connor.

The pair were seen strolling hand in hand – proving that their romance was far from a holiday fling.
However, the brunette beauty seemed keen to show her followers her empty bed after the reunion – posing alone in the sheets as she caught up with the newest series of Netflix’s royal drama.
In the snap, Melanie is wearing her glasses and a casual white tank top, with one hand resting above her head.
There is evident empty space beside her in the bed, with Melanie captioning the post: “#TheCrown it’s happening”.

The following day, she was back at work – sharing a photo of her “office space” after interviewing pal Russell Norman in Venice for the next issue of online mag The FRANK Magazine.
The pair were seen in high spirits as they enjoyed a glass of wine together, with Mel also sharing a snap of their time together to Instagram.
She captioned the post: “Such a beautiful day in Venice with @russell_norman talking about his love of the city for the next issue of @thefrank_mag
“It’s fascinating to hear about the food traditions of Italy’s best kept culinary secret. The residents are preparing for the feast of Salute on Saturday with massive queues at the butchers to buy castradina.

“Russell has a recipe for this in his latest book VENICE : Four Seasons . The feast is to celebrate the delivery of Venice from a terrible plague in 1630. How relevant! Interview coming soon”.
She made no mention of her toyboy, who she was pictured spending quality time with.
Melanie was snapped kissing Riccardo last month after jetting to Italy for a weekend away with a friend.
They were later seen laughing and hugging in Campo San Toma Square as they enjoyed a whirlwind romance.

In the new images, Melanie and Riccardo can be seen taking a gondola ride, then roaming Venice’s famous narrow streets.
Melanie was previously married to actor Daniel Caltagirone – from 2001 until their divorce in 2009 – and shares Roman, 18, and Valentino, 16, with him.
She also wed Jack Cockings in 2013 but they split after less than a year of marriage.

When the photographs of her fling with Riccardo emerged last month, Melanie said she was “too happy to care”.
Writing on Instagram, at the time she said: “Morning strumpets.
“I knew I was being stalked on my holiday but I managed to ignore it, partly because it’s just what happens but mostly because I was experiencing so much joy, it was difficult to actually care.
“May you also recognise, appreciate and take those happy moments in this crazy world. love Melanie x #livethatlife.”
