Jose Mourinho’s title charge has revived a former Dream Team favourite
You might as well make your peace with the reality that Jose Mourinho’s Spurs are genuine title contenders.
After taking seven points from a possible nine against Man City, Chelsea and Arsenal, the Lilywhites have firmly established themselves as a threat to Liverpool’s crown.
While it’s easy to focus only on the brilliance of Harry Kane (£7.5m) and Son Heung-min (£5.4m) and their combined 261 points, a run of four consecutive clean sheets in the Premier League has brought an old favourite to the fore.

Hugo Lloris (£3.0m) was the best value-for-money keeper in Dream Team once upon a time but his returns have waned in the last year.
However, France’s World Cup winning captain has benefited dramatically from Mourinho’s approach in the last month.
Eight points on Sunday propelled Lloris up the rankings where he now sits just below Edouard Mendy (£3.5m) as the second-best goalkeeper this season.
The two are level on five league clean sheets at this point.
Six keepers are more popular than the 33-year-old at this stage with Bernd Leno (£2.9m) appearing in over twice as many teams.
The tough games keep coming for Spurs in December as they play Liverpool and Leicester in the space of four days after the relative relief of a trip to Selhurst Park — although the dual threat of Eberechi Eze (£2.0m) and Wilfired Zaha (£3.2m) is not to be underestimated.
It’s probably fair to presume that Mourinho will ask his team to sit deep against Jurgen Klopp’s men and the Foxes, hoping to utilise Kane and Son’s counterattacking prowess to pinch some more vital points against top-six opposition.
The point being, if Lloris can keeper clean sheets against City and Chelsea then he’s probably a good bet for the forseeable future.
A safe play would be to wait until after Spurs’ visit to Anfield, such is Liverpool’s firepower, but those requiring some differential players may pull the trigger sooner than that.
