I am 30, my ex is 33, and our sons are seven and five.
Their dad will have them from Christmas Eve until tea-time Christmas Day.
The kids are excited but I can’t help but cry when I think about it.
He can give them so much more than I can.
I just feel so alone and empty while trying to hold it all together.

You are their mum and they love you.
Try to connect with friends over Christmas, even if just on Zoom.
When the boys return, enjoy the rest of Christmas Day with a party tea-time.
