ONE punter was left cursing their luck on Sunday after cashing out an incredible £40,000 double bet for less than £3k.
The football fan placed a £2 double at odds of 20,300/1 on Manchester United beating Leeds 6-2 and Liverpool beating Crystal Palace 7-0.

The gambler won the first bet as Liverpool stormed to victory at Selhurst Park.
But instead of holding firm in the other game, they decided to cash out in the 62nd minute when United were beating Leeds 4-1
That saw a confirmed return of £2,279.56 from Sky Bet.
But the pundit must have been left in disbelief as United scored two more goals with Leeds also pulling another back at Old Trafford.
Had the gambler held firm they would have scooped over £40,000.
Liverpool’s 7-0 win against Palace at Selhurst Park saw them go four points clear at the top of the Premier League table.
Mohamed Salah and Roberto Firmino both scored twice in the thrashing.
Takumi Minamino, Sadio Mane and Jordan Henderson also scored for the defending champions.
