Mum keeps her Christmas tree up ALL year long saying it brightens up ‘tough days’
A MUM has revealed how she is keeping her Christmas tree up ALL year long, in order to brighten up “tough days”.
The woman shared how she decided to get her artificial tree down from the loft last March after the first coronavirus lockdown was announced – and it’s been up ever since.
She explained: “I got this tree down from the loft last March, when all this kicked off & made it into a rainbow tree, it was then an Easter tree, a birthday tree, a VE Day tree, a Summer tree, a Halloween tree & then Christmas came & went.
“I decided to keep it up & decorated until this s*** show is over.”
Now Christmas is over and many families are taking down their festive decorations, but not this creative mum.
She has no plans to take it down anytime soon, and shared pictures of her latest theme – Valentine’s.
She wrote: “Introducing my Valentines Tree.
“This morning we did this & my 7 year old & I love it.
“Can’t beat fairylights & a decorated tree to keep some atmosphere in the home in these tough days.
“Sending you all love.”
Her post on the group Family Lockdown Tips & Ideas has since gone viral, and racked up 12,000 likes.
One person wrote: “What a super idea. love it.”
Another added: “Ah wish id see this before putting mine away.. lovely idea.”
