A WOMAN was rushed out of the US Capitol on Wednesday afternoon covered in blood as a MAGA mob stormed the building to stop President-elect Joe Biden’s certification.
The woman was taken out of the building in a stretcher and appeared to be bleeding around her neck, footage from MSNBC shows.
One person was reportedly shot inside the US Capitol[/caption]The bloodshed occurred amid reports that one person was shot inside the Capitol.
It was not immediately clear whether the injured woman taken out of the building was the same person who was allegedly shot.
The woman was shot in the chest on the Capitol grounds and in critical condition, according to CNN.
In a video shared on Twitter, the woman appeared bloody around her mouth and conscious as people screamed, “she needs help,” and “we got to get EMS here.”
She was shot by the neck as protesters and security guards clashed, according to a correspondent for Middle East Eye.
The woman was reportedly transported to a hospital.
A reported shooting emerged as the Capitol was put under lockdown, and the entire city on a 6pm curfew, after protesters broke through a barrier towards the building.
Around the time of the reports of the injured woman and the shooting, President Donald Trump called for peace and support for law enforcement.
Trump supporters stormed the Capitol as Congress met to confirm Joe Biden’s victory[/caption]“I am asking for everyone at the U.S. Capitol to remain peaceful. No violence!” the president tweeted.
“Remember, WE are the Party of Law & Order – respect the Law and our great men and women in Blue. Thank you!”
Shortly after, Trump tweeted a roughly minute-long video of himself telling his supporters to peacefully end their protests and that he did not want anyone hurt—but still claiming the election was stolen from him and them.
“I know your pain, I know you’re hurt. We had an election that was stolen from us, it was landslide election and everyone knows it, especially the other side,” Trump said.

Trump added that “it’s a very tough period of time” given the “fraudulent election” but that his supporters “can’t play into the hands of these people.”
“We love you, you’re very special, you’ve seen what happens, you see the way that others are treated that are so bad and so evil,” Trump concluded.
“I know how you feel, but go home and go home in peace.”
Trump supporters gathered in front of the Capitol building to protest Joe Biden’s confirmation[/caption]Dozens of Trump supporters broke through security perimeters and into the Capitol as Congress met to affirm Biden‘s victory in the 2020 presidential election.
Trump riled up his base by continuing to falsely claim that widespread voter fraud occurred in the election and that he was the rightful winner.
Congress halted its count of Electoral College votes amid the protest, according to MSNBC.
Earlier, Trump slammed Vice President Mike Pence for refusing to follow his demand to block Biden’s confirmation.
President Donald Trump tweeted a video in which he called on his supporters to go home peacefully[/caption]“Mike Pence didn’t have the courage to do what should have been done to protect our Country and our Constitution, giving States a chance to certify a corrected set of facts, not the fraudulent or inaccurate ones which they were asked to previously certify,” Trump tweeted.
“USA demands the truth!”
