THIS is the stomach-churning moment a woman has a huge “unicorn” churning cyst popped from her head.
Samantha has been living with the bulbous lump for two years but decided to get it popped after it was affecting her confidence.
She tells skin superhero Dr Emma Craythorn: “There’s no hiding it. I don’t know what the right word is, probably disgusting.
“That’s just how it makes me feel. Before I was outgoing and bubbly, and now I’d rather not be seen.
“It appeared about two years ago as a really small bump that I didn’t think anything of, and gradually it got bigger.
“When I look in the mirror it shouts at me. I just can’t help but look at it.
There’s no hiding it. I don’t know what the right word is, probably disgusting.
Samantha
“Everybody looks at it when I’m talking to them, it’s upsetting that it’s there and I can’t hide it.”
Dr Emma asked Samantha: “Apart from the most wonderful unicorn hair, what have you come with today” to which she responds “A sideways unicorn horn!”
She then describes how the cyst has affected her everyday life as she can’t even style her hair the way she likes it.
“If I catch it as I’m brushing my hair, it scratches it, obviously, because it sticks out.
“I used to have it bright all over, whereas I’ve not been doing it bright at the top because I don’t want to draw attention to the top.”
PIMPLE WHOPPER
Dr Emma explains to her that pilar cysts are quite common- although not in such a big size- and starts getting ready for the surgery.
After applying a local anaesthetic and making an incision to remove the skin, she is ready to squeeze the cyst out.
With her assistant’s Mottie help, she is able to burst the cyst but she ends up covering herself in yellow gunk.
“It’s amazing, isn’t it? That was super satisfying,” she says as Mottie comments “it looks like cottage cheese!”
Looking at the cyst that has been troubling her for years, Samantha has been left speechless.
“That has been growing inside of me!?”

All that is left is for her wound to get stitched up and Samantha can go back to her normal life.
It might have only been a quick procedure but for Samantha, it means the world.
“I feel amazing, I can’t believe that Dr Emma has been able to remove the bump,” she says. “It really will make a difference to my life
