NATE DIAZ reckons the UFC are trying to bring Conor McGregor ‘back from the dead’ by giving him an immediate trilogy fight with Dustin Poirier.
A rubber match between the former featherweight rivals, who clashed last month at UFC 257, is said to be in the works.

But Diaz reckons McGregor, who suffered a second-round TKO loss to fan favourite Poirier, is being given preferential treatment from the promotion.
He told ESPN: “What they’re trying to do is bring him back from the dead, again. That’s what they do. They’re going to bring him back from the dead for them.
“I don’t think you can pay me enough money do s*** like that anymore. I felt like, yeah, if that’s what they want to do, that’s whatever.”
Diaz, 35, feels hard done by as the UFC haven’t given him the opportunity to avenge any of his losses inside the octagon.
He added: “What I’m still trippin’ off, too, is the rematch. They always try to rouse up my record too.
“I’ve got 11 losses. And they want to talk about how I’ve got all these losses, right?

“I would try to rematch all those losses and never were they even considered or talked about. Like, ‘Don’t even ask. Goodbye.’
“And 95 per cent are all decision losses that were hardly losses, right? Most of them I won.
“So why was it so out of the question for me to have a rematch with someone? You know? This guy [McGregor] gets finished by me, he gets a rematch.
“He gets finished by Khabib [Nurmagomedov], they’re trying to give him the [rematch].
“The whole fight off of this, Dustin Poirier for a rematch, was for him and Khabib.
“And then he lost to him and they’re talking about a rematch. This guy just gets rematches [all the time]. That’s crazy.”

Diaz has no qualms with his old rival running it back with Poirier but is adamant he doesn’t deserve the chance for immediate revenge.
The Ultimate Fighter season five winner said: “I think Conor does great and does his thing, but it’s all about timing.
“And like I said, it’s the start of the line, dog. It’s time for something different. You’re just going to keep that show going for them? That’s cool if that’s what you’re going to do.
“I’ll hop back right up back in there and fight and they’ll play it where it’s like, ‘You don’t want to fight? You don’t want to fight him again?’
“Hell yeah I’ll fight him again. But that’s a just a trick they’ll put out, manipulation factor. I don’t know, I’ll go on all day about that.
“But he got finished off. Why should anybody get a rematch if you get finished off hella quick? That’s crazy.”
