DWIGHT Yorke has been slammed for spending lockdown in Dubai while his disabled son Harvey Price was rushed to hospital.
The former football ace came under fire from people who suggested he was swerving his “parental responsibilities” regarding his child with Katie Price.
Harvey’s fans sent Dwight a barrage of angry messages for not being in the country for him when he was sick in hospital after having a reaction to his coronavirus jab.
One wrote: “Skirting your way through life happily avoiding your parental responsibilities like the scum you are.”
Another told him he had “no shame or pride.”
A third, referring to the amount of contact he has with Harvey, said: “A message would go along way.”
The Sun revealed last week that Harvey had been rushed to hospital with an apparent reaction to the Covid vaccine after receiving his first dose on Friday.
The ‘brave’ 18-year-old received the Oxford/AstraZeneca jab because of his high risk status as revealed exclusively by The Sun but he is now home safe and well.
They revealed most people had “mild and short lasting” side effects in line with “a normal immune response to vaccines – including a sore arm and fatigue”.
The most frequently reported reactions are injection-site tenderness and pain, headaches, fatigue, joint and muscle pain, fever, chills and nausea.
Harvey was born with a series of disabilities, including ADHD, autism, genetic condition Prader-Willi Syndrome and septo-optic dysplasia, which causes blindness.
He qualified for the vaccine as a vulnerable individual and has been immunised in the fourth stage of the government roll-out of the vaccine.
Katie became pregnant with Harvey, who was born in May 2002, while briefly dating former Manchester United footballer Dwight.
Their romance was short-lived, and Katie has long been urging Dwight to see Harvey more.
Last week, viewers of Katie’s documentary slammed Dwight for ‘abandoning’ his son.
One said on Twitter: “Harvey’s dad Dwight, needs to step up to his responsibilities. Disgraceful that he abandoned him. I’m no fan of Katie Price, but she’s an amazing mother to that poor boy.”
Another wrote: “His loss not Harvey’s @KatiePrice Has done amazing with him he’s so polite and friendly a lovely young man. Dwight has missed out his fault.”

And now Harvey has been rushed to London’s Great Ormond Street Hospital leaving his mum “worried to bits”.
Harvey, who sources close to the family say “was shaking uncontrollably,” had a concerning temperature of 39.9 degrees.
He had X-rays in hospital where doctors are said to have confirmed his illness was down to a reaction to the vaccine.
The Sun has contacted Dwight’s reps for comment.
