Nicola Sturgeon outlined more detail for Scotland’s roadmap out of Covid yesterday, allowing Scots to have a meal indoors at pubs and restaurants on April 26.

However, pubs and restaurants will only be allowed to serve food and non-alcoholic drinks indoors until 8pm.
A 10pm curfew on boozing will also be in place, and Scots must drink any alcohol outdoors.
That means you can grab food and non-alcoholic drinks at your local Wetherspoons and sit indoors on April 26.
But if you want to grab a pint, you’ll have to drink it outdoors – although you won’t have to buy a meal.
Customers won’t be able to book ahead for a table at Wetherspoons – you’ll just have to turn up at a branch before finding out if there’s a free table.
It means punters may be asked to wait outside until space frees up at busier times.
Wetherspoon’s regional manager for Scotland, Helen Dumbreck, said: “ We are looking forward to welcoming both customers and staff back to our pubs.
“Our pubs play an important part in the social life of their respective towns and cities and it is great news that they will be able to reopen soon.
“Each of our pubs will observe all the necessary safety rules around Covid-19.”
We’ve asked for a full list of the 60 pubs Wetherspoons plans to reopen on April 26 and we will update you as soon as we know more.
Seven of these Wetherspoons pubs also have hotels in them, which will reopen on April 26 too.
These hotels are:
- King’s Highway, Inverness
- Saltoun Inn, Fraserburgh
- Cross Keys, Peebles
- White Lady, Corstorphine
- Golden Acorn, Glenrothes
- Guildhall and Linen Exchange, Dunfermline
- Jollys Hotel, Broughty Ferry
Wetherspoons has 875 pubs in total across the UK.
Punters will likely have to follow similar rules to the ones Wetherspoons has announced for pubs in England.
Rules for ‘Spoons pubs in England include wearing masks when walking around and keeping to social distancing rules.
Scots will be able to sit indoors at their local much earlier than people in England can.
Brits in England will have to wait until May 17 to eat and drink inside at boozers and restaurants.
However, pubs in England will still open first though, as people can eat and drink outside on April 12 – and there’s no curfew either.
‘Spoons will open almost 400 pubs in England in April when lockdown restrictions ease.
Customers will be able to sit in beer gardens, rooftop gardens and patios at 394 Wetherspoons branches.
Ms Sturgeon also announced when other businesses would be allowed to reopen in Scotland under her roadmap out of lockdown.
On April 2, stay at home measures will be lifted, and shaggy-haired Scots can get a haircut three days later on April 5.
On April 26 – the same day pubs and restaurants can open their doors to customers again – travel within mainland Scotland will be allowed.
Gyms, galleries and museums will also open at this point, as well as all shops.
But the country will return to the regional tiered system, with coronavirus restrictions reviewed every three weeks.
