DONALD Trump issued a warning to Joe Biden on Monday that the president must “finish the wall” to stop “bad hombres” from flooding through the border.
Speaking in a podcast interview with Lisa Booth, Trump claimed that the current administration’s approach to immigration has led to an “inhumane” crisis along the nation’s southern border.
He told Booth that countries south of the border are “not sending up their finest,” referring to them again as “bad hombres” and “really dangerous criminals.”
Trump predicted that the current border crisis will only worsen and warned that millions more migrants could be on their way.
“They’re just starting to comes. They’ll be coming by the millions,” he cautioned, joking that Biden should “enjoy it.”
“Just wait in another two or three months … forgetting even about COVID, no testing … these people they’re not being tested, nothing.
“We have some very bad hombres coming up and we’re taking them into our country and it’s insane,” Trump continued.
“They’re destroying our country, they’re destroying our country.”
“Finish the wall,” he replied when asked about his advice for Biden.
“First of all we were held back for two years with litigation, from Nancy Pelosi and Congress. We were getting sued by Democrats, literally by Nancy Pelosi, and we won that but we lost two years,” he said of his own administration’s border wall plans.
“Despite that, the wall is just about finished, just little sections of the wall. Contractors are paid and should finish the wall. You could finish it in a month.”
“It’s crazy that they’re not finishing the wall,” Trump added.
The former president said he has a “lot of respect” for the Mexican President as he praised him for sending soldiers to help along the wall during its construction.
Yet lamented that the same support will not be offered under Biden.
“They say it was the best we’ve ever had it,” Trump said. “Catch and release, all the horrible things we had to live with, we got rid of.
“The Remain in Mexico policy? Right now they’re remaining in the United States and they’re never going to leave. We have no idea who these people are.”
Trump said that Latin American countries are not the only ones that the US should be watching, referencing the Middle East as he claimed “we known nothing about them.”
The former president also spoke with Fox News on Monday morning in which he again accused Biden of “destroying the country” and branded him “incompetent.”
Trump said that ICE has now become “babysitters” and insisted that his administration had “nothing to do with the mess you’re watching now.”
“They built cages for children, we didn’t build the cages … in 2014, during the Obama administration and they blamed it on us,” he told Harris Faulkner.
“We want people to come into our country but they have to do it legally,” he added, as he referenced seasonal farm workers travelling over the border on a regular basis.
“Why are we supposed to take care of the world’s criminals?” he asked. “How do we know who is coming in?”
“They’re allowing everybody to walk through, they have no information about them and that’s the people they know about.
“There are thousands more coming in where there is no protection,” Trump said, again calling on Biden to finish the wall and accusing him of ruining the work his administration had accomplished on illegal immigration in a “few weeks.”
He claimed that Biden’s administration is denying people’s rights and attacking the Second Amendment, as he revealed he was called to speak out as the current president is “far worse than Bernie Sanders.”
“This is Bernie Sanders on steroids,” he said.
“You’re going to have tax increase, take your gun away … I predicted it all.”
Earlier in the interview with Booth, Trump had blasted Senator Mitch McConnell for failing to fight harder over the former president’s claims of election fraud.
He also criticized the Supreme Court for failing to side with the allegations of widespread voter fraud made by his campaign.
Trump said that the court had done “nothing for us in terms of the election” as he claimed that Democrats would now try to pack the court.
Trump on Sunday night issued a blistering statement aimed at his successor’s handling of the growing migrant crisis.
Trump said: “We proudly handed the Biden Administration the most secure border in history.
“All they had to do was keep this smooth-running system on autopilot.
“Instead, in the span of a just few weeks, the Biden Administration has turned a national triumph into a national disaster,” he stated. “They are in way over their heads and taking on water fast.”

The current surge of migrants trying to enter the US through the southern border with Mexico is the worst that it’s been in 20 years, the Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas recently said.
Some 14,000 migrants are in federal custody, and more are expected to come to the US.
While the Biden administration has said it’s been working on plans for long-term immigration problems, it has not had an on-the-ground plan for the current migrant surge.
