BLINK-182 star Mark Hoppus smiled and wished fans a happy July Fourth in his first photo since revealing his cancer battle.
The singer and bassist, 49, wore dark sunglasses and had his head shaved in the outdoor snap as he marked the national holiday.
Mark Hoppus shared his first picture since revealing his cancer diagnosis[/caption]He wrote on both his Twitter and Instagram accounts: “The Cancer Haver wishes you all a very happy Fourth of July weekend.”
Both his fans and celebrity pals – among them John Mayer and Tyler Posey – rushed to respond.
Fellow musician Josh Dun commented: “You look awesome. love you mark”.
While one fan gushed: “This man is my hero, and rocking that look. Keep smiling bud!”

The couple, who married in 2000, have a son named Jack who was born in 2002.
Mark revealed he was battling cancer and undergoing chemotherapy last month, admitting that he was “scared.”
The iconic band member informed his fans of the shocking news via his Instagram page alongside a photo of himself in treatment.
Mark took to his Instagram Stories and shared a brief message that detailed his recent journey through “chemotherapy” for cancer.
Mark with his Blink-182 bandmates[/caption] Travis Barker was among those who offered up their support to Mark[/caption]He wrote: “For the past three months I’ve been undergoing chemotherapy for cancer.
“I have cancer. It sucks and I’m scared, and at the same time I’m blessed with incredible doctors and family and friends to get me through this.”
He added: “I still have months of treatment ahead of me but I’m trying to remain hopeful and positive. Can’t wait to be cancer free and see you all at a concert in the hopefully near future. Love to you all.”
The hitmaker also shared a photo of himself sitting in what looked to be a doctor’s office, with a caption that read, “Hello, yes. One cancer treatment, please.”
In the snap, he has an IV hooked to his arm which appeared to be delivering the life-saving chemotherapy drugs to treat the illness.
However, the post soon disappeared from Mark’s Instagram Stories as it appeared he had deleted the sensitive snap.
Fans were quick to respond to the news on social media, as they took to the comments section to wish Mark well.
One fan sent their best wishes, writing: “You got this. Focus on your health, family, and friends… the human being. The music can wait.”
He’s spoken of his desire to return to the stage soon[/caption] Mark told fans he’d been undergoing treatment for three months so far[/caption]While another added: “Sending love & light to you and your family! Ring that bell like my mom is on Friday!!!”
Fans first worried about Mark’s health following a social media post on June 23, which saw him sitting in hospital receiving treatment.
The star appeared to have no hair under his hat, as well as no eyebrows behind the frames of his glasses – hinting at his cancer diagnosis.
Mark is best known for performing in Blink-182 alongside singer Tom DeLonge – the latter who is no longer in the band.
However, he still performs with drummer Travis Barker, who is in a romantic relationship with Kourtney Kardashian.
The 45-year-old drummer told E! News: “Mark is my brother and I love and support him.

“I will be with him every step of the way on stage and off and can’t wait for us to play together again soon.”
Travis also shared a photo of himself hugging Mark on his Instagram Stories and captioned it: “Love you”.
Besides co-founding a popular band, Mark has also produced music and hosted a television show on Fuse, Hoppus on Music, until 2012.
The singer also has a clothing line called, Hi My Name Is Mark.
