Alton Towers reveals Oktoberfest and Halloween events for autumn – with brand new spooky family friendly attraction

ALTON Towers has announced their latest autumn events including the return of Oktoberfest and Scarefest.

Their annual fireworks show will also be returning, after it was cancelled last year due to the pandemic.

Alton Towers Oktoberfest will be returning this year[/caption]

Running from September 11 to October 3, Oktoberfest will be back after its successful debut last year.

Guests will be greeted by a Bavarian themed event, with Lederhosen-clad hosts and an oompah band.

Starting from 1pm each day, the event will include live acts, delicious food and drink with a German twist, as well as well as being able to enjoy the rides and rollercoasters as the attraction is included in day pass tickes.

And from October 8 to October 10, and then October 15 to October 31, Scarefest also returns in time for Halloween.

New this year is their Trick O’ Treat Town, a new family attraction with more to be announced nearer the time.

Popular scare mazes to return include Freak Show: Toxic Junkyard, where guests are hunted by pyscho clowns, The Attic: Terror of the Towers, which is haunted by the dead Governess, Darkest Depths, set on a ghost ship and Altonville Mine Tours: Uncover The Legend of the Skin Snatchers.

The Alton Towers Gardens are also getting a spooky Halloween makeover with the Garden Lights Walk: Whispering Souls experience.

Even better, the park is open until 9pm so guests can go on the rides at night.

And returning from November 5 to November 7 is their fireworks display

“We are excited to stage the return of our popular Oktoberfest, Halloween celebrations and awesome fireworks show, which will be bigger and better than ever.

The theme park has also announced their new Christmas events and attractions to launch this winter.

Alton Towers still has some Covid restrictions in place including enhanced cleaning, hand sanitiser stations throughout, increased ventilation and suggested social distancing markers.
