Watch Conor McGregor’s gruelling training in protective boot on broken leg as UFC star performs weighted pull-ups
MMA superstar Conor McGregor is refusing to sit idly by as he recovers from the broken leg he suffered at UFC 264.
The Irishman snapped his left tibia and fibula last month in his Las Vegas trilogy fight with Dustin Poirier, which he lost via first-round TKO.

The UFC’s poster boy has shared a number of snaps of himself taking part in light intensity workouts to his social media.
And early on Wednesday morning, The Notorious shared a video of himself performing a gruelling back workout to his Instagram page.
The video showed McGregor performing nine picture-perfect weighted narrow-grip pull-ups.
His accompanying caption for the video read: “Improvise. Adapt. Overcome.”
Fans were quick to comment on the Dubliner’s workout, with one saying: “Let’s go champ.”

Another said: “Can’t wait to watch you sleep someone again.”
And another: “You’ll be back in no time champ champ!”
One remarked: “The champ coming to reclaim gold in 2022.”
McGregor, the UFC’s first simultaneous two-weight world champion, is determined to make a spectacular recovery from his gruesome injury.
Earlier this week, he told TMZ: “We’re recovering. We’re recovering, sir.
“That’s what we’re doing. And it’s gonna be some recovery. It’s gonna be some recovery.
“It’s doing good, it’s doing good. Three weeks, three days, it’s been good.”
Improvise. Adapt. Overcome.

UFC supremo Dana White expects the former featherweight and lightweight king to return to the cage next July.
During an appearance on The Pat McAfee Show, White said: “As far as I’m concerned, Conor is out for a year.
“The doctor said it will be nine months before he starts training again, we’re looking at it as a year.
“I’m not even thinking about it.”
McGregor, 22-6, recently claimed to have gone into his rubber match with Poirier with ‘multiple stress fractures’ in his leg.
He said: “The leg is better than ever. I was injured going into the fight. People are asking me, ‘When was the leg broke?
“At what point did the leg break?’ Ask Dana White, ask the UFC, ask Dr. Davidson, the head doctor of the UFC.

“They knew, I had stress fractures in my leg going into that cage.
“There was debate about pulling the thing out because I was sparring without shin pads and I would kick the knee a few times.
“So I had multiple stress fractures in the shin bone above the ankle and then I have trouble with the ankle anyway throughout the years of f***ing fighting all the time.”
