As soon as the travel traffic lights changed, our favourite celebs packed their Louis Vuitton cases and headed off to soak up the sun in amber-list countries.
While many of us have balked at paying inflated prices for flights and compulsory Covid tests, these famous faces are smugly enjoying Aperol spritzes by infinity pools.
Just look at Love Island’s Arabella Chi, showing off her sun-kissed body at the water’s edge in what could easily pass for a magazine photoshoot. It’s postcard-perfect, taken on the Spanish island of Formentera.
Then there’s Dua Lipa relaxing in Ibiza, where Lady Mary Charteris has gone too, and is seen almost jumping for joy on an immaculate white sofa against a view to die for.
Lady Mary is in the Balearics with fellow toffs such as Lady Lola Crichton-Stuart and Clara Paget, the daughter of the Eighth Marquess of Anglesey, as well as model Cara Delevingne, and for them all, the cost of Covid tests is mere pocket change.
But their holiday jollies have not won them many fans.
One observer, using the handle susienorth, sarcastically commented on an online article about the jaunt: “Don’t forget, we’re all in this together.”

Another wrote: “The pandemic didn’t really affect the rich did it????”
While a third, under the name of Isoceles from Essex, added: “Oh God another bunch narcissistic hedonistic horrors on their hols!!”
Bookings for holidays to amber-list countries soared after rules were relaxed last month.
But for an average family of four, the prospect of spending hundreds of pounds on PCR tests before, during and after their trip, even with a recent £20 price cut, is far too eye-watering to contemplate.
Karen Dee, chief executive of the Airport Operators Association, last week described the cost of testing for travel as “sky high”.
TORRENTIAL RAIN
She added: “The small reduction is little more than tinkering and does not go anywhere near far enough to meaningfully cut the costs of travel.”
We’re all used to seeing the annual migration of our fave stars to exotic climes. But if ever there was a time we didn’t need to see Irina Shayk’s perfect posterior poking out from a neon green thong, it’s this year.
While we’ve been gritting our teeth in the torrential rain and forking out for extortionate Airbnbs in Skegness, the Russian model and actress has been having “family time” in Ibiza, while promoting a gin company.
Meanwhile, Love Islander Molly-Mae Hague has treated us to shots of her not-so-casually sweeping her bouncy locks off her neck, as if we need any reminders of just how hot it must be on the Greek island of Santorini.
The pandemic didn’t really affect the rich did it?
And Towie’s Amber Turner even moaned about the grim British weather on Instagram as she sunned herself in Crete, while American beauty Emily Ratajkowski captioned a snap of herself on a yacht off Italy’s Amalfi Coast: “Another boat, another beer.”
It’s enough to make us all seasick. Well, sickened, anyway. At least have the decency to post bare-faced selfies or a ripple of cellulite, please.
Even so, we can’t begrudge Kate Moss her annual fix of Ibiza . . . but it would make us feel better if she didn’t look so darn fabulous at 47.
The same goes for Michelle Keegan, looking chic as ever in Mallorca, and Amanda Holden going glam in Greece.
At least there is one silver lining to staying at home — we can tuck into our seaside fish ’n’ chips without the pressure of getting bikini-ready.
