PCSOAs Short and Gillett were called to the pond on Sunday to investigate the sinister spot.
They were relieved to uncover the mannequin, which was dressed in a costume from the hit James Cameron film and a matted brown wig.
Two pictures were shared to social media by Gawsworth Chelford Police.
One showed the mannequin floating on life-saving equipment as a PCSOA carefully walked towards it.
Another pictured the bizarre discovery lying on the grass with its blue striped tail curling off to one side.
The force issued a stark warning about the “dangerous” water and the risks of “messing around” with equipment – but said they were “thankful” no-one was really hurt.

The post read: “PCSO’s Short and Gillett were called out to what looked like a body in the water, thankfully this time it wasn’t real.
“This is a reminder – water is dangerous and don’t mess around with the life saving equipment, somebody may need it and it could be you!”
