Feeling uncomfortable, the 22-year-old decided to visit her doctor in order to renew her prescription.
The fitness fanatic has visible abs – so was flabbergasted when her doctor told her that her symptoms were actually down to pregnancy.
The trainee accountant said that as she laid down for the check up, the last thing she expected to hear was that she was eight months pregnant.
She said: “I was in so much shock that I was arguing with a professional on why it seemed impossible for me to be pregnant. I looked at my partner and he was dead silent.
“I was low-key happy but I didn’t want to seem excited or get my hopes up because, in my mind, the doctor definitely made a mistake.
“The drive home was absolutely silent, we were both in our minds just trying to wrap our heads around the fact that in a few weeks, I would actually be giving birth to a whole person.

“But eventually my partner disrupted the silence by laughing and saying that my barbecue wings and peanut butter cravings now all made sense.”
She explained that the possibility of pregnancy hadn’t crossed her mind as she hadn’t missed her periods and she ‘still had abs’.
“I had absolutely no signs at all, I never missed my period, I had no morning sickness, weight gain or even tummy growth. Nothing at all.
“So you could understand my reasoning for arguing with the doctor after that revelation”, she explained.
The 12 early signs of pregnancy you need to know
Doctors calculate pregnancy from the first day of a woman’s last period, rather than from the date the baby was conceived - if the parents’ can remember it.
The first obvious sign is usually a missed period but not all women experience the same symptoms.
Here are the 12 signs you need to look out for.
- Missed period
- Fatigue
- Headaches
- Bloating
- Need the loo more (or less)
- Dizziness
- Mood changes
- Hot flashes
- Breast tenderness
- Feeling hot
- Bleeding
- Morning sickness
Both Revonni and her partner love to work out and she had chiseled abs until the last few weeks of her pregnancy.
She explained that for the last three years she has been taking acid indigestion medication.
Revonni added: “Every time I consume carbonated drinks or spicy foods, I experience nausea, severe cramps, extreme bloating and basic loss of appetite.
“As a result of this, I became so ill-fatigue, nausea, bloating and severe cramps. I decided to go to the doctor and renew my prescription for my acid indigestion medication.
“I lay on the bed debriefing my symptoms to the doctors and as she’s feeling my tummy she tells me ‘No no dear, you’re pregnant.’
“My immediate reaction was to laugh and start giving her all my reasons for why that seemed impossible. She insisted that the head was already facing down and explained I could give birth any minute now.”
‘IN DENIAL’
At first the doctor told Revonni that she was 36 weeks’ pregnant, but a further ultrasound revealed she was in fact 30 weeks’ pregnant.
“I was in denial. Imagine going to the doctor for an acid problem and being told you’re actually about to give birth to a stranger.
“As soon as I found out I was expecting a baby, I swear my bump began to aggressively pop over the remaining few weeks of my pregnancy”, she said.
Revonni and her partner, who she does not wish to name, have been together two years and would often joke about having five kids together.
They never thought that it would happen so fast and hadn’t wanted a family until later on in their relationship.
NEW LIFE
Revonni added: “Our only concern was the adjustments that we had to start making, in terms of finance, health, and our professional careers.
“What my family would say was never a concern for me, I have the most loving and supportive mum. I called her the day we found out and she’s been buying baby stuff ever since.
“I am so excited now, to be honest. I cannot wait to meet my little human.
“I’m past my due date now so we’re expecting our little acid reflux baby any day now.
“Obviously it took a minute to settle into the idea of having sleepless nights and losing my very toned abs but I can honestly say that there’s never been any feeling of regret or shame since I found out. I’m nervous yes, but definitely more excited.”
