But he will only be allowed a handful of guests from fellow lags at HMP Belmarsh at the service, including two witnesses.
Sources said the couple will pay for the service and insisted taxpayers would not foot the bill.
Both Assange and South African-born lawyer Ms Morris, 38, are practising Catholics, meaning they are likely to tie the knot inside the prison chapel.
Officials had to grant the request or face being sued by the couple under human rights laws.
The campaigner is on remand as he fights extradition to the US on espionage charges for leaking thousands of documents linked to the Afghanistan and Iraq wars.
Last month lawyers for Assange said his fragile mental health remained at risk.
They claim he is a high suicide risk and is too ill to be sent to America for trial.
The US has given assurances Assange will not be held in a notorious “supermax” jail.
