Mel B axed from Adele’s Audience With show after making awkward gaffe about x-rated toy
SHE is one of my favourite Spice Girls but Mel B caused a buzz for all the wrong reasons during the filming for Adele’s Audience With.
Insiders at the bash, which was filmed earlier this month at the London Palladium, revealed how the Two Become One star choked when she went to ask her question to the superstar – before making an X-rated comment about a sex toy.
ITV bosses decided to cut the awkward moment from the final edit, saving both Mel and Adele’s blushes.
An insider explained: “Mel was her usual brilliant self at Adele’s Audience With but ITV decided they just couldn’t keep her moment in.
“She was tasked with asking a question about the best gift Adele had ever received but when the cameras were on her she said she felt silly asking it.
“Then she made a joke and said she could answer the question for Adele and said it was a vibrator.
“No one really laughed but Adele made a wise crack about it and moved on.
“There’s no bad blood or issue between them, ITV just couldn’t air it because not only was it awkward as hell – it was a family show and there would be kids watching.”

Over 5.5 million people tuned in to watch the special on Sunday night, which gave ITV the biggest Sunday night of the year thanks to Adele and the return of I’m A Celebrity.
And if you haven’t had a chance to catch Adele’s Audience With yet, I’d strongly suggest you settle down and give it a go.
As well as singing some of her classic hits, Adele belted out her new songs Easy On Me and Love Is A Game.
And the London born superstar was just as funny as you’d imagine, with stars including Dua Lipa, Samuel L Jackson and Stormzy, all hanging on her every word.
Joey’s got his BDE eye on Tia
I DELVED into the mystery of what is known as BDE last week – that’s Big er, something Energy – after Pete Davidson went public with his new love interest Kim Kardashian.
And if any man in the UK has what it takes to match Pete’s prowess in that department, it’s our very own Joey Essex.
The Brentwood-born reality TV favourite has been linked to a string of stunning women, from singer Rita Ora to American TV personality Stephanie Pratt.
And now he has pulled another beauty.
I can reveal Joey has enjoyed a string of dates with former shop assistant Tia Skillman, who is described on social media as a dancer.
A source said: “Joey and Tia have been going out for a while now. They’ve had a few dates and she is really keen on him.
“Joey isn’t going to be rushing into anything though, he is being a proper gentleman and is taking it slow.
“From the outside they make a nice couple, but it is early days.”
Before meeting Tia, Joey had been single since he split from Brazilian model Brenda Santos in October last year.
I revealed in this column how Joey and Brenda had called time on their romance after five months because things just weren’t working out.
Joey said last month that he was keen to settle down, and added: “I’m ready to find my wife, not a girlfriend. I’m husband material. I’m at a place where I want to think long-term. I want to meet The One.”
You hearing this, Tia?
Thanks very much says Zara
ZARA LARSSON gave her fans a squat to talk about as she hit the stage in Stockholm.
The Ruin My Life singer wowed in this black and nude bodysuit at the Avicii stadium in her native Sweden as part of her Poster Girl tour.
She belted out some of her biggest hits including Never Forget You and Symphony – her UK No1 single with Clean Bandit – before ending with an encore of Lush Life.
As well as being a stellar pop star, Zara is also a business whizz.
She made more than £750,000 from a deal with video game platform Roblox where she sold in-game merchandise that fans could dress their computer game characters in.
Of the moment she found out about her seven-figure pay-day, Zara said: “My jaw dropped when I heard.
“Streaming services don’t pay the most. We all know this.”
I can imagine a fair few stars who will be following in her footsteps now.

SHAKIRA says she struggled with self-confidence when she hit the big time.
She told Variety mag: “Being in your early twenties has its disadvantages. I was probably more insecure, in a lot of ways, compared to now.”
The chat was to celebrate the release of Laundry Service (Washed And Dried), the 20th anniversary edition of her first English language album, which is out on January 7.
The Colombian added: “Breaking through that barrier at the time was so important, not only for me but for the culture I was representing.”
Harry a gig hero
HARRY STYLES has added to his reputation as one of the nicest blokes in showbiz.
The singer stopped the latest gig of his Love On Tour shows after seeing a young girl in the audience in distress.
He was in the middle of his hit Canyon Moon when he noticed the problem, halted the gig and called for help.
He then waited while she was looked after and only carried on after asking if she was OK.
Fans flooded social media with praise for the superstar’s actions in LA.
One wrote on Twitter: “That’s how an artist who truly cares about his fans does it.”

- IF you are a fan of the morning music quiz PopMaster on Radio 2 you’re in for a treat. A new board game, inspired by the Ken Bruce’s weekday quiz, has been created just in time for Christmas. My highest ever score on the radio version is 28 out of a possible 39 – so I’ll be spending a bit of time trying to better it.
- THE CHEMICAL BROTHERS, Gorillaz and Tame Impala are all booked to headline All Points East festival when it returns to London’s Victoria Park next year. The National, Disclosure and Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds will also play major slots at the event, which is scheduled for August 19 to 28.
- KASABIAN frontman Serge Pizzorno is to put some of his art on show. Using his alter-ego Daft-apeth, the Leicester-born rocker will unveil his work alongside artists including Banksy. The Pop Up Art Show at The West Contemporary Gallery in West London’s Portobello Road will be on from November 26 to December 4.
Cher 21-year Louis beef
LOUIS WALSH should cross the road if he sees Cher Lloyd.
The X Factor 2010 contestant said she has never forgiven the music mogul and show judge for comments he made about her, including branding her a “spoilt child”.
The singer told Rylan Clark on his new podcast The Ry-Union: “Louis Walsh, he was horrible to me. He still says stuff about me.
Perhaps he needed something to talk about.” At the time Louis said: “Cher is a bit of a brat. She’s acting like she’s already a star.
“She’s in a competition, you know. I bet she’s voted out first this week.”
Cher was fourth on reality show and is still not prepared to call Louis out.
She added: “Me, hold a grudge? No.”
