Danny opened up about feeling lonely to his daughter Dani Dyer on their podcast, Sorted with the Dyers.
Eastenders Danny Dyer revealed feeling lonely when he lived alone[/caption]The discussion started when the pair responded to a listener who asked for advice on how to cope with spending Christmas Day alone.
Dani suggested watching movies or having an indulgent bath, while her dad suggested making a big meal for yourself.
It was then Danny revealed how lonely he got living in exile in his £1,700-a-month bachelor pad.
“When I did move out for a bit and I was on a Sunday doing a roast for myself, it was a sad state of affairs because you always do far too many potatoes to be fair. You can’t cook a roast for one,” he told Dani.
“There is something quite sad about it. I was on my jack, just sobbing my heart out eating my roast, tears in my gravy.”
The EastEnders star, 44, briefly lived alone in a north London flat in 2017 after his marriage hit the rocks due to rows about his lifestyle choices.
The ‘lifestyle choices’ also forced him to take a break from filming and being alone caught up with him during a time usually spent with family.

Danny has been with wife Joanne Mas since they were teenagers in 1992 and tied the knot in 2016 and briefly split in 2017 before reuniting a few months later.
Along with Dani, 25, they are also parents to Sunnie, 14, and Artie, eight.
Despite reconciling, Danny revealed his wife is “f***ing hard work” when it comes to Christmas presents.
“Some of the bills we get after Christmas…f***ing Jesus Christ,” he said on a recent episode of their podcast.
“But that’s what it’s about.”
His daughter Dani then replied: “You do have to buy mummy presents even though she takes most of them back.”
To which Danny said: “Yeah, she’s f***ing hard work.”
Meanwhile, in the same podcast Danny and Dani talked about raising kids.
Dani admitted she was clueless when she first gave birth to her son Santiago and said she “didn’t know what to do”.
Danny then shared how “no one is ever ready” whilst his daughter expressed how much she loves being a mum.
