Host Joel Dommett returned to our screens to present a special which looked back at some of the amazing performances over the past two series.
Lyrics were also put at the bottom of the screen for fans to sing along at home.
Many took to Twitter to share their disappointment.
One fan said: “Oh god this is just repeats from the series. Boooooo.”
A second said: “Whhaatt I thought was an Xmas special?!”
But it’s not all bad news as viewers don’t have long to wait before the highly anticipated third season starts.

Series three of The Masked Singer premieres on New Year’s Day (Saturday, 1 January) at 7pm on ITV.
The programme premiered back in January 2020 and was renewed for a second season which aired later that year in December.
Presenter Joel is back to host the show once again.
The celebrity panel consists of television presenter Davina McCall, singer-songwriter Rita Ora, broadcaster Jonathan Ross and British comedian Mo Gilligan.
Fans will have to guess the true identity of Chandelier, Bagpipes, Lionfish, Doughnuts, Traffic Cone, Panda, Rockhopper, Mushroom, Firework, Poodle, Snow Leopard and Robobunny.
Davina has teased that fans are going to be treated to some very emotional performances next year.
The star said: “Rockhopper did a performance that was so lovely and afterwards we could see that Rockhopper was actually crying after their performance.
“I felt like we needed to give them a moment to compose themselves.
“It was incredibly moving, it was really lovely that you can be so moved by a performance in a mask, that’s moved you to tears when you haven’t been able to connect with somebody with your face.”
