Inside abandoned funeral home where decomposing bodies were found along with human ashes, a gravestone and child’s toy
AN ABANDONED funeral home where bodies were left to rot alongside bags of human ashes, gravestones and a child’s toy was pictured by an urban explorer.
Robb, 40, from Long Beach, New York is a full-time videographer who recently made a very “creepy” discovery at a funeral home in Florida, revealing the property’s shocking history.
The dilapidated building was closed down in 2012 when it was found the owner failed to take bodies to the crematorium despite accepting money for funeral costs – with three bodies found still decomposing in the venue.
The owner was sentenced to 18 months in prison for obtaining the property under false pretenses.
Robb was taken to the property in a group by a local resident and documented his visit in a video which has terrified viewers.
In the video, an array of random objects can be seen including an open coffin where one of the bodies was originally found, a gravestone engraved with the name Daisy B Hunt, who lived from 1934-2004, hospital equipment, and even a “creepy” child’s toy.
“This old funeral home definitely had a creepy vibe while inside of it, having a history of neglect and criminal behavior probably helped out with that,” Robb told Jam Press.
“The remains and photos of the dead really brought the creepy meter up on this particular exploration.

“It was a strange place but most abandoned buildings are a bit strange in my opinion.”
As the group entered the reception room, a giant hole can be seen in the floor, leading to the basement below.
Letters and documents are scattered across the floor, along with polaroid photos of some of the funerals held in the venue.
Meanwhile, as he enters the chapel, Robb finds a bag of ashes from 1995, and another bag from 1999, both with certificates of cremations and other personal details.
In another room, further certificates, awards, and clocks can be seen still pinned to the walls.
SPINE-CHILLING DISCOVERY
Robb then makes the most spine-chilling discovery of the visit; a casket where a decomposing body is found wrapped in clothes.
In another room, he finds the table where one of the other bodies was reportedly found, along with polaroid photos of the victim.
It hasn’t been disclosed where the third body was found at the time of the crime.
The abandoned property is covered in dust and debris and was likely taken over by squatters at some point in the past with a random mattress and duvet discovered in one of the back rooms.
Robb said: “People’s loved ones were left behind because the owner was neglectful and criminal in her responsibilities.
“I couldn’t imagine someone I loved remains or my own be treated poorly after my death and the actual thought of it bring a strange creepiness to me.
‘RARE AND STRANGE’
“I hope they all get closure one way or another and their souls are in a better place than [their] vessels were left.
“I have found a lot of strange things in these kinds of places, it’s hard to [choose] a particular one, but in this one, it was the photos of the deceased and the ashes,” he added.
“In others, it could be a machine, hospital equipment, furniture, or even a creepy old children’s toy, that why I love these places because they all have something different, rare, and strange.”
Robb regularly shares his adventures into abandoned buildings on his YouTube channel, RNK All Day.
The original owner of the funeral home was not named.
