A HOMEOWNER was left fuming after a “cowboy” electrician fitted a plug socket underneath an outdoor tap.
The person posted a picture of the “dangerous” gaffe on Facebook after hiring the so-called professional.

It shows the outdoor plug neatly fitted on a brick wall – but a hose tap can be seen directly above it.
Sockets or switches should be fitted at a safe distance from taps to avoid a potentially fatal shock if the electricity comes into contact with water.
The homeowner is now desperately seeking a new electrician to come and fix the original sparky’s mess.
They said: “I’ve had a cowboy in. Is there anyone from Coalville that can come and sort this please.”
Amused Facebook users were quick to see the funny side and made a string of jokes.
One wrote: “I can’t believe it, shocking!! Surely a silver tap would’ve been better!? It would match the electric box better.”
