THREE people have been killed and three children injured in a horror New Year’s Eve smash.
Two cars collided while travelling on a slip road of the M3 motorway in Kells, Co Meath, Ireland, at around 4.45pm yesterday.

The incident took place on the N52 slip road and killed the driver and the passenger, both in their 20s, in one of the cars.
A woman who was driving the second vehicle also died in the horror smash.
Emergency services rushed three children to hospital for treatment, with two baby girls not suffering life threatening injuries.

A 12-year-old boy remains in hospital and is understood to be in a serious condition.
The road was closed for a technical examination, but has since reopened, with police appealing for witnesses to the crash.
Meath East TD Thomas Byrne has expressed his condolences to the families of the three people who died.
The Minister for European Affairs said: “My deepest sympathies to the families of the bereaved and prayerful thoughts with the injured.”
