I’ll change the world like for the better like Nelson Mandela & Mother Teresa, says fired Apprentice star Harry Mahmood
THE Apprentice star Harry Mahmood has insisted he will “change the world” despite being the first to be fired on tonight’s show.
The entrepreneur – who described himself as the “Asian version of Lord Sugar” ahead of his debut on the BBC One programme – fell at the first hurdle.
Harry, 38, from the West Midlands, was brutally fired by business mogul Lord Alan, 74, after failing to impress in the cruise ship challenge.
The boys took on the girls in the first business-based task as they got aboard Richard Branson’s Virgin Voyage ship the Scarlett Lady.
Sadly for the boys, they failed to impress Lord Sugar with their brand Neverending Nautical, and it was Harry who was told to leave.
Nonetheless, it didn’t stop the business hopeful from beieivng in himself – as he told viewers on his exit he was still going to “change the world”.
“I’m always positive no matter what happens in life,” Harry said of his exit, noting that he was described as “disruptive” by advisor Tim Campbell.
“The word disruptive, I take it as a positive because Lord Sugar is also coined a disruptor by many people. I take it as innovative and groundbreaking.
“People past and present like Nelson Madela, Mother Teresa, Elon Musk, Muhammd Ali, and brands like Tesla and AirBnB, who are changing the fabric of the world we live in.”
“For me to be labelled a disruptor, I will come and change the world for the better,” Harry, who was awarded a British Empire medal, concluded.

The businessman, who owns a health network and a bath bomb business, also detailed how he had “stopped licking his wounds” after being fired.
He added that he was “gutted and annoyed” that he wasn’t given the chance to be a “project manager or deputy leader” and show off all his skills.
“I didn’t get a chance to do any of that which seems a bit incredulous and upsetting at the same time, but we draw a line and move on,” he added.
“It’s unfortunate, but I always believe in the universe, the power above. Although Lord Sufar didn’t want to invest… the Lord above has always been kind and blessed me, so I will never give up.”
The TV star concluded by heaping praise on his fellow team-mates Akshay and Akeem – calling them both “nice guys” and wishing them “all the best”.
The brand new series of The Apprentice kicked off tonight on BBC One after almost two years of delays due to coronavirus.
The new instalment saw former winner Tim Campbell join Lord Sugar’s side as the latest advisor – replacing former aide Claude Littner.
