Alexis Sanchez offered to Everton for FREE by Inter Milan in shock transfer with Inter Milan wanting to offload winger
EVERTON have been offered Manchester United flop Alexis Sanchez on a FREE transfer by Inter Milan.
Toffees chief Rafa Benitez fears he may be forced to lose either England’s Dominic Calvert-Lewin or Brazilian Richarlison.
Benitez is anxious to keep both as he attempts to steer the Goodison side away from the drop zone.
But he will bring in a striker if either leaves and Sanchez is one of two potential answers.
The other is New York City’s Argentina under-23 striker Valentin ‘Taty’ Castellanos, top scorer in the MLS last term.
Bringing in former Arsenal striker Sanchez would be a huge gamble for Everton, and not likely to be a popular choice among the agitated Goodison fans.
The Chilean, 33, was expected to become the focal point for the United front line after his move from Arsenal in January 2018, when the Old Trafford outfit won a tug of war with local rivals City for his services and sent Henrykh Mhikitaryan the other way.
But Sanchez, who had scored 80 in 166 matches in three and a half years in north London, managed just five goals in 45 appearances for United before moving to Inter, initially on loan, in August 2019.

The move was made permanent in a free transfer 12 months later but Sanchez has struggled on his return to Serie A, scoring a mere 14 times in 86 appearances.
Castellanos, 23, who would be available for around £14m from the MLS side, is under contract with New York until 2025.
He scored 23 last term, and racked up an MLS-leading 132 shots and 57 attempts on target.
