Dragon’s Den fans all saying the same thing over bizarre business with an X-rated twist
DRAGON’S Den fans were left open-mouthed at a VERY bizarre business with an X-rated twist.
BBC viewers could not believe their eyes when university pals Rebecca Joy and Natalie Deana brought along their vegan handbag business with an erotic element.
The pair were looking for £50,000 in exchange for a 10 per cent share in their business – a conscious vegan handbag brand called Frida Rome.
The pair explained that their tagline was “bad girls who do good things” – and revealed that they have a unique offering as each bag contains an erotic story chapter.
However, the Dragons were gobsmacked by the racy item and were left red-faced when they opened the bag.
Viewers were also baffled by the business idea, with one writing: Erotic vegan handbags?! Give me strength. #DragonsDen”
Another cheekily wrote: “Going to go on Dragon’s Den and pitch a load of wallets with dirty limericks. #DragonsDen”

Retail entrepreneur Touker Suleyman quizzed the business partners on sustainability and pointed out that they were not completely there yet.
But Peter Jones was more interested in what was inside the bag.
The Dragons were left cringing as Peter read the cheeky passage, he said: “I can’t help but open up and inside it has a message that says ‘She looked up beckoning him to take her. Still holding onto his neck she gripped him tighter. He came face-to-face with her and paused for the last time.'”
The pair explained that the idea originated simply because they wanted to give their product some personality.
Despite being a fan of the vegan handbags, Deborah Meaden was puzzled by the erotic message.
She explained: “Only because sometimes you can say too much and to me this stands on its own.”
Newest Dragon Steven Bartlett explained that having a “provocative edge was key” – but wanted to quiz the pair on how they plan to create a brand.
Unfortunately, most of the Dragons couldn’t see a return on their investment and were not keen on the erotic nature of the product.
However, entrepreneur Steven was keen on the item and believed there was a market for it.
He went on to offer all of the money for 20 per cent of the business.
Rebecca and Natalie were chuffed and immediately accepted Steven’s offer and left the den with the £50,000 and a backing from a Dragon.
