TOTTENHAM winger Bryan Gil is set to complete a loan switch to Valencia, according to reports.
Gil, 20, appeared to deny reports of him wanting to leave North London earlier this week.
Bryan Gil is heading back to Spain to join Valencia on loan following Spurs struggles, say reports[/caption]But direct talks between the two clubs are supposedly being completed this weekend.
Fabrizio Romano reported the news of the impending deal which will send the out-of-favour star back home to Spanish soil.
Romano said on Saturday morning: “Valencia will be in direct talks with Tottenham today to complete Bryan Gil signing on straight loan.
“Spurs will make final decision in the coming hours.”
High hopes have been placed on the shoulders of Gil, who cost Spurs a cool £22million plus Erik Lamela from Sevilla last summer.
Gil has yet to make Tottenham’s starting line-up in the Premier League, with all of his nine of his top flight appearances coming off the bench.

The attacker has managed a total of 86 Premier League minutes in a stop-start season which has been hit by a hamstring injury and Covid isolation.
Starts for Gil in the Europa Conference League haven’t led to any goals or assists and Spurs were miserably dumped out of Europe.
Tottenham will hope that a loan move back to Spain will re-ignite Gil’s form, if he still wants a future career in London.
The talented 20-year-old grew up in Andalusia and started his career there with Sevilla’s youth ranks.
He broke in to the Sevilla first team in 2019 and made 14 appearances, all off the bench.
After successful loan spells at fellow La Liga teams Leganes and Eibar, Tottenham splashed out for the Spaniard.
Meanwhile, Frank Lampard reportedly wants Dele Alli to be his first signing as he is on the brink of becoming Everton boss.
