WEST HAM are in talks to make club legend Mark Noble an executive when he retires as a player this summer.
The Hammers skipper, 34, is thought to want a role similar to a director rather than becoming a coach.
West Ham legend Mark Noble is eyeing an executive role rather than a coaching position when he stops playing[/caption]The former England Under-21 midfielder has a strong bond with the club’s senior figures as well as fans.
And he’s tipped for a major position related to football operations.
Noble, who has played 540 games for West Ham, remains a much-respected influence in the dressing room as boss David Moyes turns West Ham into Premier League top-four hopefuls.
And the Londoner believes Moyes knows as well as anyone how keen he is to stay at the club.
Noble said last year: “The manager knows this club for me is where it all began and probably where it will finish.
“He’s got me in the changing room so if he needs me he knows I’m here.
“But I’m going to enjoy my last little bit of time as a West Ham player.

“Hopefully in the future I see myself being in the background at West Ham, making decisions and helping the manager and having a role that sort of way.”
Asked in August about Noble moving into coaching next term, Moyes said: “I think Mark has other ideas.
“Maybe a role as a sporting director or a technical director rather than on the footballing side.”
