While Linda (portrayed by Kellie Bright who left the show to go on maternity leave) has been giving him the cold shoulder, Mick (Danny Dyer) has been trying to get his life back on track.
In new instalments of the BBC One soap, due on our screens next week, Mick gets ready to put up a literal fight as he gets ready to take part in a boxing match.
But with only a few participants, the pub landlord tells Janine Butcher (Charlie Brooks) he will cancel the match.

This prompts Janine to enlist Kim’s (Tameka Empson) help in signing people up and, although she does complete her task, the latter promises whoever beats Mick will get free drinks for a year.
Mick is left frustrated and asks Janine to make sure he fights against the weakest person but the plan backfires.
And things only get worse when Mick receives the divorce papers from Linda.
Linda left Walford in September, 2021, following the birth of her daughter Annie, who also happens to be Max Branning’s daughter.
In an attempt to escape Max, Linda and Mick pretended he was Annie’s father, despite Rainie Highway’s attempts at exposing the truth.
While her character left Albert Square for dramatic reasons, actress Kellie Bright left EastEnders to go on maternity leave, giving birth to a son named Rudy in July, 2021.
She is now set to come back to the soap, after a one-off Christmas appearance, amid family crisis as the Carters will be mourning Tina Carter.

Can Mick and Linda really settle their differences?
Actor Danny Dyer will also be waving goodbye to Albert Square in upcoming weeks, moving on to a new project after nine years.
