THE Yorkshire Ripper once threatened feared gay gangster Ronnie Kray for “trying to make advances” on him in Broadmoor.
In one of his last letters to pals, serial killer Peter Sutcliffe told how he fought off the attentions of the notorious 1960s mobster.
Sutcliffe died aged 74 in 2020 after a battle with Covid[/caption] Ronnie Kray, and his twin brother Reggie, were found guilty of the murder of George Cornell[/caption]Sutcliffe, then in his 40s, was at the high-security psychiatric hospital with ageing Ronnie in the early 1990s.
Ronnie died in 1995 aged 61 but the Ripper was later ruled fit for a return to the prison system. He lived out his last years in top security Frankland jail, Co Durham.
He died aged 74 in 2020 after a battle with Covid.
But six months before his death, he scrawled a series of letters to a pal.
In one, he wrote: “I did not give Ronnie a beating although I did threaten him when he tried to make advances on me.”

He showed no remorse for his reign of terror between 1975 and 1980, in which he killed 13 women and tried to murder seven more.
In another letter, he spoke of his mother but he chillingly added: “My mum died of a massive heart attack on 8th November 1978 before my arrest, so she never knew about my mission etc!”
It is thought that referred to his horrific crimes.
