Suspected ‘serial killer’ wanted for shooting 5 homeless people in Washington, DC pictured & cops appeal for information
PHOTOS of the suspect involved in a string of attacks against homeless people have been released to the public.
The DC Police Department shared what appear to be ATM photos of a man on social media. Surveillance footage was also shared.
“MORE PHOTOS of the wanted suspect. Tipsters are eligible for a reward of up to $55,000 for information that leads to the arrest and conviction,” wrote the DC Police on Twitter.
Police believe the suspect was involved in multiple shootings of homeless people, some of them fatal. The attacks occurred in New York City and Washington, DC but it’s unknown if the two are connected yet.
The attacks in DC happened on March 3, March 8 and March 9. The third attack was fatal as the victim was found in a burning tent with gunshot and stab wounds.
The NYPD, DC Metropolitan Police and agents from the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives as assisting in the investigation.
DC Police have confirmed that they are exploring the theory that the attacks might be related.
According to Newark police, teams of cops and outreach workers have been warning those experiencing homelessness to seek shelter.
NYC ATTACKS
The latest attack occurred around 7pm Sunday at Greenwich Street and Mary Street in NYC. A man was sleeping in a bag on the street when he was fatally shot.
Police believe the suspect in the attack might also be responsible for shootings on Saturday, one of which was also fatal.

Both of the victims were shot in Manhattan.
The suspect appeared to approach the first two men on purpose and shoot them, police said. The suspect was seen wearing all black and a black ski mask.
Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers. There is a $10,000 reward for information that leads to an arrest.
NYC Mayor Eric Adams called the attacks “horrific.”
“We need to find this person, and we need New Yorkers to help us,” he said.
A task force of officers and a homeless outreach team is focusing on finding homeless people in the subways to urge them to go to city-owned shelters, said Adams.
Adams has also implemented an aggressive campaign to clear the subways of the homeless due to a surge of crime.
In the first week, 143 people were arrested and the city’s subways had 455 people removed from trains and stations.
