And to celebrate ten years on your screen, things have been shaken up in the studio a little…”
As fans tuned in to see the new changes, many were left outraged after the show dropped a contestant from the podium, leaving three in place of the usual four.
The show also saw more time added to the clock, allowing contestants to win more chips to play in the machine.
Fans flocked to the post to blast the change, arguing that it takes the competitive edge away from the show.

Alongside an emoji of an angry face, one person penned: “Why is Tipping Point ruined? Only three contestants and now 45 seconds on the bloody clock.”
Echoing their comments, someone else said: “New Tipping Point with three contestants, not four. Why change the format after ten years?”
A third added: “I’m sorry, I know this is supposed to be a minor nitpick, but I really can’t fathom why they would suddenly reduce the contestant count to three.”
A fourth fan argued that the extra time clock made no difference to the show as the players didn’t score any extra points.
Host Ben Shephard appeared on Monday’s instalment of This Morning where he chatted to stand-in hosts Vernon Kay and Josie Gibson about what viewers can expect.

He said: “We love the support we’ve had from so many watching it, ten years of Tipping Point, thank you to everyone who has watched it.
“A lot of it is to do with nostalgia, these old penny fall machines that we all loved playing as kids down at the end of the pier and then we give people a chance to come in and have a go.”
Tipping Point airs weekdays on ITV at 4pm.
